In general, the project work consists of the following prime contract: a.Playground and Drainage Improvements at Sheridan Elementary School. b.Refer to Section 01 10 00 - Summary for a description of the work included in the project. c. Project includes Allowances; see Section 01 21 00 Allowances for more information. Type of Contract: Single Lump Sum Contract, AIA Document A105. Bid Form: Bids must be submitted on forms provided by the Architect. Documents will be delivered electronically in PDF format. The contractor shall be required to comply with all provisions of the acts of the General Assembly of the State of Illinois related to Wage Rates, Discrimination, Sexual Harassment, Alcohol Use and Preference to Illinois Workmen. 8. Additional information and bidder requirements are included in the Instructions to Bidders and the Bid Documents.
9. Bid Stipulations: a.The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond for the full amount of the bid accepted. b.The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids to waive any informalities in any bidding. c. No proposals shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the submittal of proposals. d.Bid Security is required in the amount of ten (10) percent of Proposal, made payable unconditionally to the Owner. Security shall be either certified check, cashier's check or bid bond issued by surety licensed to conduct business in the State of Illinois. 11.Last day for Addendums shall be 5:00 PM on Wednesday, October 26, 2022. 12.Last day for contractor questions shall be 5:00 PM on Monday, October 24, 2022.
