Renovation of a mixed-use development in Austin, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
As of September 21, 2022, the project has been awarded. A contract award amount and a timeline for construction have not been confirmed. Del Valle ISD is requesting proposals to conduct various turn-key L.E.D. lighting upgrades in select campuses throughout the district. The campuses are Baty ES, Creedmoor ES, Dailey MS, Del Valle ES, Gilbert ES, Hillcrest ES, Ojeda MS and Popham ES. Responses must be submitted digitally through the online portal. The Del Valle ISD Board of Trustees reserves the right to reject any and/or all responses and waive all formalities in the RFP process Del Valle ISD commissioned this assessment report to evaluate the condition of the existing lighting systems in cafeterias, gyms, libraries, exterior building mounted and exterior area/parking lots to evaluate the potential for replacement of fluorescent/HID lighting to more efficient LED lighting. This report includes suggested LED light fixture replacements in tabular form (Appendix C) from a single vendor that have a similar appearance and lumen output as the existing non-LED fixtures that could be considered for a direct one-for-one replacement. This listing of suggested LED fixtures includes the fixture series type, lumen output and other options related to appearance and light distribution; further description of additional options required for fixture mounting are not included. If Del Valle intends to use this report to commission fixture replacement, the successful contractor will need to visit the site and determine the means, methods, and light fixture mounting options required for a complete and working replacement. The following campuses are included in this report: a. Baty Elementary School b. Creedmoor Elementary School c. Dailey Middle School d. Del Valle Elementary School e. Del Valle Opportunity Center f. Gilbert Elementary School g. Hillcrest Elementary School h. Ojeda Middle School i. Popham Elementary School Project Goals: 5.1 Goal 1: Remove and replace existing conventional lighting fixtures, both interiorand exterior, with approved L.E.D. substitutes. 5.2 Goal 2: Reduce O&M cost, extend fixture life and provide enhanced lighting for |students and staff. Scope of Work: The selected contractor will: o Conduct a site review and assessment of each of the specified campuses and confirm quantity, location and fixture type with DVISD, using the supplied document. o Removal and disposal of existing fixtures, including proper disposal of any PCB ballasts and/or mercury containing fixtures. o L.E.D. replacement using approved or alternate fixtures. o Each campus would need to be completed before starting another, unless multiple crews work simultaneously. o Campus access would be controlled by DVISD and adhere to existingoperating schedules. o Contractor will provide a timeline for project completion for each campus. o Any parking lot lighting replacement will need to be conducted after school hours and on weekends to reduce possible traffic congestion during student drop-off and pick-up times. o A final walk-thru will be scheduled by the contractor with DVISD Project Managers prior to submitting final pay-application.
