The Work to be done under the Contract shall consist of removal of existing floor coating, floor preparation, and supply and installation of new waterproof flooring membrane system. The major components of the Work are as follows: (a) Remove all existing coating material, and clean and prepare all surfaces to be sealed, by steel shot blasting, sandblasting, or other method in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. (b) Grind, clean, fill and prepare all joints and cracks in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions; (c) Supply and apply coating system to wall and vertical housekeeping pad surfaces to form cove base. Base height at walls to be 4". Base height at housekeeping pads to match height of housekeeping pads. (d) Supply and install concrete curbing as discussed in Fan Room, Electrical Corridor and Cooling Plant Room. Waterproof coating system is also to be applied inside curbed areas, but shall not be applied on top of housekeeping pads. (e) Supply and apply floor coating system as per manufacturer's instructions, in the areas discussed at the Site Meeting. (i) Contractor shall select and bid on only one of floor coating systems identified in E4.7. The Work area will be discussed at the Site Meeting. Contractor is responsible for verifying area measurements. The funds available for this Contract are $100,000.00.
