Renovation of an educational facility in Geneva, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The scope of work will consist of the replacement of the water softener at Geneva High School. Bid security in the form of a bid bond, certified check or cashiers check in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the Base Bid shall be submitted with the bid. Performance, Labor and Material Payment Bonds and Certificate of Insurance will be required from the successful Bidder. Geneva Community Unit School District 304 reserves the right to reject any and all bids or parts thereof, to waive any irregularities or informalities in bidding procedures, and to award the contract in a manner best serving the interest of the Owner. All Bidders must comply with applicable Illinois Law requiring the payment of prevailing wages to all laborers, workman and mechanics working on public funded projects If during the time period of work, these rates change, the contractor shall be responsible for additional costs without any change to the contract amount. The proposed contract is subject to the requirements of the Equal Employment Practices Commission and the Illinois Human Rights Act (HRA) Illinois Revised Statue, Ch. 69, Par. 1-101, et. seq. The Engineer will transmit to prospective bidders of record any addenda the Engineer considers necessary in response to questions arising at the pre-bid conference.
