Renovation of a detention facility in Colusa, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 33,717-square-foot, 96-bed detention facility.
**As of January 25, 2024, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. This project is a 96-bed replacement facility for the Colusa County Sheriff's Department. The project consist of four 20-bed units. These units contain double occupancy cells in A tier configurations. Two units share a program room. A total of two program rooms are provided. There are two eight bed dorms style units. All housing units contain dining, a kitchenette, showers, janitors closets, video visitation and telephone. The support spaces are medical exam, dental exam, a retherm kitchen, one safety cell, one respiratory isolation cell, non-contact visitation, a nurse and pharmacy room, and a small open office. The new building is connected to the existing through a pedestrian walkway and a two-hour fire-rated separation. There is one accessible parking space. Emergency generator and transformer are located on the north end of the site. Local participation is encouraged. It is a Prevailing Wage project and has the Skilled & Trained requirements in effect.
