Renovation of a communication facility in Huntsville, Alabama. Completed plans call for the renovation of a communication facility.
As required by the Code of Alabama 1975, S39-2- 2, the Huntsville City Schools is seeking sealed bids from General Contractors to provide labor, installation, materials and the band tower for Grissom High School, located at 1001 Haysland Road., Huntsville, Alabama. All bidders bidding in amounts exceeding that established by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors must be licensed under the provisions of Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, and must show evidence of license before bidding or bid will not be received or considered. Bidders are to be licensed in the City of Huntsville, County of Madison, Alabama and must possess all insurance as required in the bid documents. A certified check or bid bond payable to Huntsville City Schools in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000, must accompany the bidder's proposal. Performance and Payment Bonds will be required before work can commence. It is the responsibility of the bidder to assure that bids are presented at the time of the bid opening if they choose to mail the bid. Potential and successful bidders will adhere to all rules and regulations of the Alabama State Licensing Board for General Contractors and the Alabama Public Works Law.
