The Huntsville-Madison County Airport Authority is requesting separate sealed proposals for the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment and services for the Employee Parking and Cell Phone Waiting Lots at the Huntsville International Airport, located in Huntsville, Alabama. Bidder must be an Alabama General Contractor licensed by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors for Alabama pursuant to Alabama Code Section 34-8-1, et seq. Only bids of such Contractors who are licensed prior to the date of bid opening will be considered. Bidder must place his/her current license number on the outside of his/her sealed bid or otherwise Bidder's bid shall be rejected. Any bid received after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids will be returned to the bidder unopened. Pre-qualification of bidders is not required. The Employee Parking and Cell Phone Waiting Lots project will consist of a demolition, grading, drainage, paving, site lighting, fencing, signage, canopy, etc. to create two separate parking areas at the airport. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total contract amount, as shown on the schedule of prices, which shall be made payable to Huntsville-Madison County Airport Authority and shall be subject to the conditions set forth in the bid documents. A performance bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price and a labor and material payment bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price will be required. The Huntsville-Madison County Airport Authority reserves the right to waive any informalities, technicalities or irregularities in the bids received, to reject any or all bids, and to enter into negotiations with the lowest responsive bidder.
