Renovation of a mixed-use development in Johnson City, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and library.
Number: 2089132 Binghamton University is seeking a qualified contractor to renovate a 19,000 square foot area of the first floor and a small portion of the second floor of the existing building at 10 Gannett Drive, Johnson City NY 13790 in order to create a Library Collection Management Facility. The fire protection and plumbing scope of work includes but is not limited to: modifications to existing sprinkler system to support the renovated high-bay warehouse storage shelving system in accordance with NFPA 13 requirements. Design includes new supplemental 10-inch fire service into the building dedicated to the warehouse space with backflow prevention device, control valvles for isolation of the ceiling level ESFR sprinkler system and in-rack sprinkler system zones, supplemental hose staions, new sprinkler distribution piping and associated specialties. Extend/modify the existing building sprinkler system on the 1st floor to support the renovated office areas, processing/support spaces and service corridor. Renovate an existing toilet room and new pantry in renovated support areas, including domestic and sanitary piping modifications as required Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Set Aside: No Minority Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 14% Women Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 16% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Contracting Goal: 6% Contract term: 180 Calendar Days
