Demolition and site work for a residential development in Tifton, Georgia. Completed plans call for the demolition of a residential development; and for site work for a residential development.
Any questions on specifications or bid requirements should be addressed in writing to County Clerk Miriam Jordan at miriam.jordan@tiftcounty.org The Tift County Board of Commissioners is requesting competitive sealed proposals from qualified contractors interested in contracting with the Tift County Board of Commissioners to provide building demolition services for the removal of improvements and clean-up of a site located at 283 Love Avenue, Tifton, GA 31794. Demolition work shall be done in strict accordance with all applicable laws, ordinances, regulations and codes of the Tift County Board of Commissioners. Demolition Prior to the starting of the demolition, the contractor will be responsible for making sure the utilities, including electric, telephone, gas and water service has been disconnected in strict accordance with the requirements of the Tift County Board of Commissioners. The Contractor shall properly seal all sewers, laterals for down spouts, etc. at the property line with concrete. The Contractor shall make his own arrangements for utility services for his own use. The Contractor shall be responsible for the protection of all utilities, which are to remain in use. Demolition work will only be between the hours of 7 am and 7 pm daily, excluding legal holidays, Sunday and inclement weather (rainy days). The Contractor will be required to meet with the Development Support Services Director and Public Works Director for a Pre-Demolition meeting located at the site of 283 Love Avenue, Tifton, GA before a Notice to Proceed will be issued. The Contractor shall notify the Tift County Board of Commissioners the date and time of the demolition at least 24 hours before commencing work. The Contractor shall complete the work within Ten (10) calendar days (excluding legal holidays, Sunday and inclement weather days) from the date of execution of the Notice to Proceed. The Contractor shall perform the work within the time and in the manner specified, and in conformity with all requirements.
