Replacement of Michigan Hollow Road (CR 803) Culvert over Unnamed Stream Town of Spencer, Tioga County, New York This locally funded project includes removing and replacing the existing bridge carrying Michigan Hollow Road over an unnamed stream. The new structure will consist of an adjacent prestressed concrete solid slab unit superstructure with an asphalt wearing surface. The substructure will be a permanent steel sheeting cells and waler/anchorage systems. The superstructure wear bear on cast-in-place concrete bridge seats within the sheeting cells. The project includes approximately 425 linear feet of full depth approach roadway reconstruction to tie the new bridge into the existing roadway alignment. New bridge and approach guide railing will be installed within the project limits. Traffic will be maintained using an off-site detour during construction. Contract Documents will not be mailed until payment is received by the County. Only those who have purchased Contract Documents will be provided addenda. Bids must be made in writing on the forms furnished and shall be accompanied by a bid guaranty for an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds and provide insurance in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
