Site work for a water / sewer project in Okeechobee, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The project is titled Orange Loop Wastewater Collection Project. The work consists of installing approximately 560 feet of 8-inch sanitary sewer pipe, 5 manholes, and other associated work. All materials furnished and all work performed by the CONTRACTOR, shall be in accordance with the plans, specifications, and contract documents pertaining thereto, which may be obtained directly from the ENGINEER in electronic format. The documents, plans, and blank bid forms may be obtained from the ENGINEER's office. A certified check or cashier's check on a National or State Bank or a bid bond in a sum not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid, made payable to the Okeechobee Utility Authority, shall accompany each bid as a guarantee that the bidder will not withdraw from the competition after opening of the bids, and in the event the contract is awarded to the bidder, he will enter into contract and furnish the required performance and payment bonds, failing which, he shall forfeit the bid deposit as liquidated damages. The performance and payment bonds shall be executed by a fully authorized surety, acceptable to the owner and licensed by the State of Florida. The owner reserves the right to hold all bids for thirty (30) days and to reject any and all bids, with or without cause, to waive technical errors and informalities, or to accept the bid in its judgment that serves the owner.
