Renovation of a conference / convention center in Okeechobee, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a conference / convention center.

New chain link fencing shall be installed to surround a gate counterbalance area, gate opener and all electrical components ensuring the public cannot accessthem. Fencing will also continue along the right-hand side of the road continuing southweststopping atthe concrete barrierrail of the bridge. (see drawing forreference) All chain link fencing fabric shall be 6' in height 9 gauge galvanized 1 1/4 " mesh and be installed knuckle -twistto the top. 3 strand 12 1/2 gauge barbed wire shall be installed outward 45-degree arm surrounding the gate counterbalance area and installed vertically on the top of the gate and fencing that continues southwest to the bridge. A 24' cantilever gate utilizing the same chain link fabric must extend fully across the road connecting to a 4" receiving post. (measurements to be confirmed by contractor) The cantilever gate frame will consist of 2-1/2" O.D. horizontal rails, 2" O.D. vertical bracing, and 1-5/8" diagonal bracing and will have 4" O.D. full weight pipe (including pipe caps) forterminal orsupport posts and each post shall have a 16" diameter by 48" depth concrete footer. Cantilever rollers must have safety guards or covers. A 36" walk through gate shall be installed on the back side of the gate enclosure. Fencing Top rail shall be 1-5/8" O.D. full weight pipe, joined with 1-5/8" sleeve. Line postshall be 2 1/2"O.D. full weight pipe and be spaced a maximum of 10' on center having an 8" diameter by 36" depth concrete footer. Terminal post shall be 3" O.D. full weight pipe having a 10' diameter by 36" depth concrete footer. Bracing, terminal posts braced and trussed to the nearest line post with 1-5/8" O.D. full weight pipe and 3/8" truss rid and truss rod tightener. Tire wire, 8-1/4" 6- gauge aluminum tie wire spaced 15" on center for line posts & 24" on center for top rails. Tension wire shall be seven (7) gauge coilspring galvanized tension wire attached to the bottomoffence fabric with 9-gauge aluminum hog rings spaced on 18" OC. Fittings to be regular brace band and carriage bolt, semi-steel combo rail-ended, pressed steel loop cap, pressed steel cap, 3/16"x3/4" tension bar, regular tension band and carriage bolt. A quantity of four (4) galvanized 4" O.D. full weight pipe bollards & capsshall be installed acrossfrom the gate opener at locations designated in the attached drawing to prevent vehicles from driving around the catch post. Posts shall be installed 42" in height and must not interfere with the sidewalk. Commercial grade class I, II, III & IV vehicle slide gate operator having no less than 1/2 HP or proven brushless equivalent with an operating speed of 12" per Second and a weight capacity that exceeds the current gate length. Main powersource 120/240 VAC single phase with a battery back up to ensure no lessthan 100 full continuous cycles in the event of a power failure. Programable speeds, open/close timer with exit loop and programable keypad with tamper controls and fire Knox Box. All bidding firms to provide product submittal for review and approval.
