The Eldon School District is currently soliciting written proposals from qualified firms experienced in repairing roof systems. The Eldon High School has an existing metal roof located at 101 South Pine Street. The district is looking at options to repair the existing roof at specified areas. All options will be considered. Award contract following August 17, 2022 Board of Education approval. Contact Matt Davis at 573-392-8000 for more information. Scope of work: Repair vertical and horizontal seams 1. Clean and prepare designated areas as identified in the reference overview photograph as required for the installation of the Fluid Applied Repair System by the manufacturer. 2. Areas to be addressed a. Vertical and Horizontal Seams b. Parapet wall termination points c. Valleys d. Coping joints, flute caps, e. Designated 30 units on roof curbs f. 26 designated pipe penetrations 3. Address all seams located in valleys. Install a break bond seam system as follows. a. 1.5-inch breakaway tape installed directly over the seam(s) to avoid damage from thermal shock and building shift b. Install a 4-inch fabric backed butyl tape over breakaway tape. c. Apply PolyArmor fluid applied membrane per the Manufacturer's requirements. Install the PolyArmor Fluid Applied Membrane directly over butyl tape at a minimum of 60 mils and 10 inches wide d. System to completely encapsulate seams and all fasteners at the seams. PolyArmor fluid applied flashing system to be utilized in all other areas highlighted on the aerial roof top reference image provided. a. Include Approximately 1,900 Linear Ft of wall termination points, ridge cap and Seams. b. Wall termination points will be completely encapsulated over flashing, term bar and a few inches of the wall. c. PolyArmor flashing system to be installed on all units and penetrations.
