The purpose of this solicitation is to seek qualifications of consultants who have worked with cities and counties throughout the State of Florida in assisting them with updating their Comprehensive Plan and Water Supply Plan. The scope of the professional consultant services will be to assist the County staff, as directed, in all steps needed to complete the County's Comprehensive Plan, EAR requirements and Water Supply Plan, per State Statues. A single or multiple task order may be implemented in order to achieve the goal of the updates mentioned. The procurement of these services will be done by competitive selection and negotiation consistent with Chapter 287.055 of the Florida Statutes, "Consultants' Competitive Negotiation Act," and Brevard County Policy BCC-26, "Acquisition of Consultant Professional Services." The awarded consultant will be responsible for assisting the County in completing the required submittals as required by the State and SJRWMD. The following are anticipated, but not limited to tasks or deliverables, for the Consultant to perform: Population growth Changes in land area Vacant and developable land analysis Transportation Level of Service Demands of growth on public infrastructure Utility Service Areas Water Supply Plan Joint Planning areas Interlocal Agreements Response to reviewing agencies as needed; such as: reports, supplemental assessments, studies, or any other means as requested by the agency and approved by the County.
