Question Cuttoff Date & Time 8/15/2022 11:00:00 PM (ET) Overview - The Iowa DOT is soliciting competitive bids from qualified vendors to remove two Motor Pool passage doors and remove existing doors and frames as per attached plans and specifications (complete 1 door and frame at a time). Salvage lever lock set and panic device, reinstall new factory finished HM doors with glazing same size as pictured below and HM frames to be provided and installed with new hinges, kick plates, silencers, gaskets and weather stripping, thresholds see specs for details. DOT to provide and install decals and stickers. Work to be completed during regular working days and hours M - F 7:00 - 3:30. Complete 1 door and frame at a time, making sure building is secured prior to leaving site. Project includes removal and disposal of the existing materials and demolition items off site. Work area to be cleaned upon project completion. This includes punch list items and final inspection and acceptance by the Iowa DOT. Pre-bid: There is no pre-bid meeting scheduled at this time. It is the intent of the Iowa DOT to award the contract to the responsible bidder whose submitted quotation is the most advantageous to the Iowa DOT, cost and other factors considered. Other factors include, but are not limited to: meeting or exceeding mandatory requirements, proposed staffing, and meeting required time schedule.
