The City of Davenport, Iowa is accepting bids for snow removal services, specifically snow hauling, for the upcoming winter season. All work shall be done in strict accordance with these specifications. The contract period will be from date of award through 30 April 2022. The Street Maintenance Division requires assistance with snow removal operations. This service is for hauling snow from the downtown area and other areas as directed. Tandem axle dump trucks are required to be used for this service. Work under this contract may be required at any time: on regular working days (Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.), Monday through Friday after regular hours, on weekends or holidays. Once commenced, work shall continue until notified to cease by the Public Works Operations Manager or his designee, with no stoppage of work except for mechanical breakdowns. The Contractor shall notify City staff immediately if a breakdown occurs. Contractors must have direct control and ownership of the equipment intended to be used for the specified work at the time the bid is submitted. Subleasing of the equipment will not be permitted. Equipment to be used for hauling services is limited to tandem axle dump trucks. Questions can be emailed to the Purchasing Division no later than August 12, 2022 @ 10:00 AM CT.
