Site work for a civil project in Liberal, Kansas. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The Board of County Commissioners of Seward County, Kansas, will accept sealed bids to drill a new domestic water well and supply all materials and labor to provide water service to the Seward County Road & Bridge facility located at 11920 Road 7, Liberal, Kansas.Drill new domestic water well and supply all materials and labor to provide water service to the Seward County Road & Bridge facility located at 11920 Road 7 in Seward County, Kansas. Contractor is responsible to verify work to be performed and site conditions. Work scheduling to be coordinated with owner. Conduct construction operations with minimum interference to public or private accesses. Maintain public areas unobstructed and free of debris. Waste materials shall be removed in a manner that prevents injury or damage to persons, adjoining properties and public rights-of-way. Seward County is tax exempt, applicable tax exempt forms may be obtained at the Seward County Clerk's Office. All work shall comply with applicable OSHA, Federal, State and Local regulations concerning domestic water well drilling. Successful bidder shall be currently licensed by Seward County and shall obtain all necessary permits and inspections. There will be no permit fees charged for this project. Bid proposals shall include an estimated date for work to begin and estimated time for completion. Time frame for completion of project will be taken into consideration when reviewing bid proposals. In the event an accepted bidder's contract price is $25,000.00 or greater, the accepted bidder shall provide a Payment Bond and a Performance Bond equal to 100% percent of the contract price. Such bonds will be required at contract signing. SCOPE OF WORK 1. Submit bid proposals per Base Bid and Alternate Bid A specifications. Base Bid is for drilling a water well with a 35 gallon per minute minimum flow rate and Alternate Bid A is for drilling a water well with a minimum flow rate of 60 gallons per minute. 2. Well to be located to the southeast of building so as to facilitate connection to existing 4" water service line. 3. Electric power supply for well will come from Road & Bridge 120/208 3phase electric service located on west side of building. Contractor is responsible for providing all labor and materials for connection to the well. 4. Water service piping from well shall be connected to existing water service line to building (location diagrams attached). Contractor is responsible for providing all labor and materials for connection of well to existing service line. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Existing water service line runs parallel to Road L approximately 25 to 30 feet from edge of roadway and is buried 4 feet deep. A tracer wire is installed with the service line for location purposes.. The 120/208v electric panel on west side of building has space for installation of breaker to serve new well. BASE BID Water well with 5 horsepower motor and 5" casing drilled to a depth of 500 feet with capability of providing a minimum pumping capacity of 35 gallons per minute to include the following: 500 feet of drilling and 5" casing 1 - Surface Seal 1 - Slush Pit 1 - 35S50 5 HP Pump End 1 - 5 H.P. 4" 3 Phase Motor 1 - PID 50 VFD 320 Feet 2" Schedule 80 Pipe 340 feet #10-4 Sub Wire 1 - SP-503 Pitless Adapter 1 - CA-3001 Pressure Tank 1 - 5 ft. x 6 ft. Pit With Lid 1 - 3/4" Hydrant Breaker and associated wiring to connect well to existing electric service Water piping and associated material to connect well to existing water service Cap existing 4" service line on supply side upon connecting new line from well Bid shall include all materials and labor to provide a fully functioning well providing water supply to the Road and Bridge Shop Building. ALTERNATE BID A Water well with 7.5 horsepower motor and 6" casing drilled to a depth of 500 feet with capability of providing a minimum pumping capacity of 60 gallons per minute to include the following: 500 feet of drilling and 6" casing 1 - Surface Seal 1 - Slush Pit 1 - 7.5 H.P. 60 GPM 4" Pump End 1 - 7.5 H.P. 4" FR Motor 1 - Subdrive Connect VFD 320 Feet 2" Schedule 80 Pipe 340 feet #10-4 Sub Wire 1 - SP-603 Pitless Adapter 1 - CA-3001 Pressure Tank 1 - 5ft. x 6 ft. Pit With Lid 1 - 3/4 " Hydrant Breaker and associated wiring to connect well to existing electric service Water piping and associated material to connect well to existing water service Cap existing 4" service line on supply side upon connecting new line from well Bid shall include all materials and labor to provide a fully functioning well providing water supply to the Road & Bridge Shop Building.
