Site work for a water / sewer project in Northborough, Massachusetts. Design plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
This request is to continue the implementation of our detailed Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Plan to mitigate inflow and infiltration into the Town's sanitary sewer system. Inflow is from storm water making its way into manhole covers and from illicit connections. Infiltration is the seeping of groundwater into the system through pipe connections, cracks in the manholes or other small openings in the system. Mitigating I&I greatly reduces the volumes of 'clean' water sent to the wastewater treatment plant for processing. As required by State mandate (314 CMR 12.04) municipalities need to implement a detailed O&M Plan to address I&I. This project is included in the town's FY 2023-2027 Capital Improvement Program. As of September 21, 2022, further details regarding design and construction timelines have not been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
