For Knight Way Pavement Repair. ll bidders shall be licensed in accordance with provisions of the Business and Professions Code and shall possess a State Contractor's license, ClassD30, at the time of bid submittal. The successful Contractor and his subcontractors will be required to possess business licenses from the City. The work to be done consists of furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and incidentals as required by the Plans (Appendix F and G), and Contract Documents. The general items of work include the polymer injection per plan and geotechnical report date August 21, 2021.Clean up and leave in an operable and acceptable condition all the work and other items not mentioned that are required by the Plans and Specifications. Each bid shall be made on the proposal form furnished by the City and shall be in accordance with the Plans, Specifications, and Contract Documents and shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bidder's bond, payable to the City in a sum not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into the contract for the work, the full amount of such guarantee to be forfeited to the City should said bidder fail to enter into said Contract. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Faithful Performance Bond in the amount of not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, and a Labor and Material Bond in an amount of not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the contractprice, said bonds to be underwritten by sureties qualified to do business in the State of California, carrying a rating of A+ or better, in the current edition of Bests Insurance Guide. Any contract entered into pursuant to this notice will incorporate the provisions of the State Labor Code. Pursuant to the provisions of the California Labor Code Section 1773.2, the minimum prevailing rate of per diem wages for each craft, classification, or type of worker needed to execute the Contract shall be those determined by the Director of Industrial Relations of the State of California, which are onfile in the Public Works Department at City Hall and are available to any interested party on request. A 5 percent (5%) retention will be applied in this Contract.
