Site work and renovation of a museum in Montreal, Quebec. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a five-story above grade museum; and for site work for a museum.
Upgrades, repairs and major renovations to the Biosphere museum located on the territory of the Jean-Drapeau Park to retain its original mandate of educating its visitors about climate change. The scope of the project includes upgrades to the building to reduce the greenhouse emission, energy consumption according to the sustainable development principles, improvement to universal accessibility while preserving all heritage aspects of the facility. The scope of the project includes extended landscaping work. TIMELINE: The project is preliminary. The awarded architectural professional consultant has submitted to the owner a report including a Functional and technical program and phasing strategy for the project implementation. No information on the finalized project scope, budget and timelines of its development is currently available. The project will be followed if/when it proceeds to a design stage.
