As of October 28, 2022, project has been awarded to: *Complete Demolition was awarded to demo #3, #6, & #7. *First Impressions Lawn Service was awarded to demo #4 & #9. *T A Gaddis Services was awarded to demo #1, #2, #5 & #8. The City of Owensboro is seeking reputable contractor(s) to demolish structures on various properties. The successful bidder shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and incidentals required to demolish, remove, and dispose of all structures and debris from these properties in accordance with applicable local, state, and federal requirements. BID SECURITY: Cash, Cashiers Check, must accompany each bid or a Bid Bond duly executed by the bidder as principal and having as surely thereon a surety company approved by the City, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid. Such checks will be returned promptly after the City and the accepted bidder have executed the contract, or if no award has been made within thirty (30) days after the date of the opening of bids, upon demand of the bidder any time thereafter, as long as he has not been notified of the acceptance of his bid. Please Note: Personal Checks and Business Checks are not allowed. The successful bidder upon failure or refusal to execute and deliver the contract and bonds required within ten (10) days after receipt of notice of acceptance of bid, shall forfeit to the City the security deposited with his bid as damages for such failure or refusal. Furthermore, any vendor awarded a contract who fails to fulfill all obligations on this contract may be disqualified from bidding on any City bids for a period of up to five (5) years. PERFORMANCE AND PAYMENT BONDS: NOT REQUIRED All work shall be completed within 120 days from the issuance of a PO from the City. This shall include, but not be limited to removal of the building structure(s), all applicable concrete, foundations, basements, in-ground pools and associated plumbing, piping, mechanical and electrical components, surrounding deck and concrete slabs, abandoned utilities, removal of existing driveway pavement, existing parking area pavement, house walk pavements, garages or sheds, and backfilling. In addition to backfilling, pricing should also include proper compaction of the structure footprint according to the specifications contained within this bid.
