Site work and new construction of a playground / park / athletic field in Linwood, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the construction of a 2,030-square-foot, one-story above grade playground / park / athletic field.

As of June 17, 2024, this project has commenced construction earlier this month. All trades have been awarded. The Project consists of 2,000 sf of new construction for a two-level building built into a hillside with exterior covered walkways for use as a Meeting Room with toilets on the upper level and a retail/rental area and toilets on the lower level. Typical new construction consists of reinforced load bearing and soil retaining Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF blocks) with exterior metal plank cladding and ACM paneled horizontal banding and soffits on the exterior, and gypsum drywall on the interior walls. Construction also includes steel (columns, beams, bar joists, metal deck) frame with (low slope) standing seam roof system. Base bid work also includes associated site grading; asphalt parking lots and driveways, water and sewer utility work; storm water system; sidewalks; landscaping (trees, planting, grassing.) One alternate for a different type of exterior siding planks is included. General Construction work includes major subcontractors: Site Civil Utility work. Plumbing work. HVAC work. Electrical work. No bid may be withdrawn after time set for receiving bids for a period of forty-five (45) days. Davidson County maintains the goal of ten percent (10%) minority participation in all contracts. All bidders are expected to make and document a good faith effort to achieve this goal.
