Checks shall be made payable to Borough of Pottstown. When requesting documents, please include a mailing address, a telephone number, and a fax number. Federal Express overnight mail can be furnished if your account number is provided. Bids must be sealed and addressed to the Borough Manager, Borough Hall, 100 E. High Street, Pottstown, Pennsylvania 19464 and must be accompanied by a Bid Security in the form of bid bond, a certified check, or a cashier check, in the amount of 10% of the Base Bid Totals for the three (3) year combined lump sum amounts for: Waste Collection Part I 1a; plus, Recycling Part II 1a; plus, Yard Waste Part III 1a. The Bid Security will be returned after Award of the Contract. Bids may not be withdrawn within Sixty (60) days after the time affixed for the bid opening. The Borough of Pottstown reserves the right to refuse any or all bids and to waive any informalities in bids received. Contract Award will be to the lowest responsible bidder that best suits the Borough interests. NONDISCRIMINATION IN EMPLOYMENT Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act No. 222. The requirements For Bidders and Contractors under these enactments are explained in the Specifications.
