This project rehabilitates civil, electrical, control system, structural, process mechanical, and heating, ventilation and air conditioning assets throughout the biosolids treatment facility at the advanced wastewater treatment plant at Blue Plains. The project comprises several tasks, which are issued to the MFU 10 construction contractor as the demand arises throughout the duration of the construction contract. The tasks are typically too large and complex to qualify as maintenance work but not large and complex enough to warrant preparation of a complete bid package for construction. Many of the rehabilitation tasks are required in response to an emergency. In addition to emergency response, many tasks implement improvements to safety or operations while others perform construction work that is out of scope of another construction contract but necessary for that other construction contract to proceed on schedule and budget. This project mitigates the risk of premature asset failure or performance degradation. This project is in included in the City's or County's FY 2022-2031 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP).
