**As of September 29 2022, the project Awarded to Elmers total amount of $59,950. construction Started today. The work will include all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to perform paving in two separate areas as described below. Location of Work: Project 1 - Intersection of Pearl Street and Grand Avenue on the north side of Pearl Street. Project 2 - Intersection of Pearl Street and Second Street on the north side of Pearl Street. Project Description: Project 1 - Includes pavement and sidewalk removal, excavation, 2-foot diameter catch basin with sump and grate/frame casting, 12" diameter over flow pipe, 4-foot diameter leach basin drainage structures with sumps and manhole casting, stone backfill with geotextile fabric, aggregate base, concrete sidewalk, and HMA as directed by the engineer. Project 2 - Includes pavement removal, excavation, 2-foot diameter catch basin with sump and grate/frame casting, 12" and 15" diameter pipe, two 4-foot diameter catch basin drainage structures with sumps and grate/frame casting, sand backfill, aggregate base, and HMA as directed by the engineer The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities in bidding and to accept the bid deemed to be in the best interest and most advantageous to the Leelanau County Road Commission. Once the Road Commission gives the Contractor notice to proceed the Contractor must complete the work in the time frame specified. It is anticipated that notice of award and notice to proceed will be given before September 6, 2022. The Contractor may commence work September 19 and must have all work completed by Friday October 14, 2022. The Road Commission reserves the right to adjust quantities or cancel the entire project. Work on Fridays or Saturdays will be allowed only when approved by the Road Commission. Work will not be permitted on Sundays or holidays
