Scope The Town of Sharpsburg Public Works department, responds to various leaks and with the repair of the leaks, streets require repair. The scope is to cover the require repair work to provide asphalt back over the existing area where the water line was repaired. It is anticipated that all work will be awarded to one contractor. Liquidated Damages The parties agree that calculation of actual damages resulting from failure to meet the following performance standards is extremely difficult, if not impossible, to calculate accurately, and the parties also agree that the compensation identified for such failures are a reasonable estimate of damages resulting from a failure to meet the performance standard described. Therefore, the parties agree that the Vendor shall be subject to amounts due as liquidated damages but not as a penalty, for each such failure, as follows: For each day in excess of the deadline the Contractor shall pay the Town the sum of $75.00 per day for liquidated damages. Construction Debris All debris should be contained in an appropriate construction container and disposed of in the appropriate landfill as required and or needed. Mandatory Pre-Bid There is no mandatory pre-bid required, however we highly encourage required site visits in order to appropriately quote work.
