The project ("Project") will consist of all phases of professional design services; from planning and evaluation, through final construction. The Township has an existing 16,000 square foot building. One option would be to gut and renovate approximately 7,000 square feet into offices and a public meeting room, with only minor modifications inside the remaining interior space. The building exterior needs some repair would require extensive aesthetic enhancement. The Township also has raw land, adjacent to its current building. Another option would be construction of a new building to house its offices, meeting facility and communications center. Part of the Project will consist of evaluation of the existing public safety communications area for renovation or incorporation into one of the other facility options. The firm chosen for the contract will assist the Township in defining the scope of services, evaluating and selecting the best option, developing a Project budget, design and engineer the Project, bid the project and provide all necessary professional services through final construction. Statements of qualifications should include information regarding the firm's history; education and experience of owners and key personnel; the technical expertise of the firm's current staff; the firm's experience in performing engineering studies, design, construction administration and construction observation; availability of staff; the firm's equipment and facilities; references; and any previous work performed for the Township. As required by Ohio Revised Code sections 153.65 through 153.73, responding firms will be evaluated and ranked in order of their qualifications. Following this evaluation, the Township will enter into contract negotiations with the most highly qualified firm. Project schedule: It is anticipated that Project construction would commence in 2023. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
