For Train Depot Roof Repair Bids shall remain valid for at least sixty (60) days after filing deadline. Questions regarding this invitation to bid must be in writing and must be sent to Holly Smith, City Clerk by mail at the address listed below or by email to hsmith@cityofwauchula.com. All questions must be received by August 31, 2022. Prospective bidders shall not contact, communicate with or discuss any matter relating in any way to the Invitation to Bid with the City Commissioners, any employee of the City of Wauchula, other than the City Clerk or as directed in the Invitation to Bid. Such communications initiated by a bidder shall be grounds for disqualifying the offending bidder from consideration for award of the bid and/or any future bid or proposal. The City requires the awarded bidder to perform all tasks necessary to repair the entire roof with a silicone based coating system. Tasks will include but are not limited to: -Pressure wash existing roof to remove all loose debris. -Inspect existing roof system, tighten all screws or replace as needed. -Inspect existing roof and determine areas of damaged wood. -Remove existing metal panels at areas of damaged wood. -Remove and replace damaged wood. (Up to 8 areas or 8 sheets of plywood to be included in bid price. Additional per 4x8 plywood sheet price to be noted in bid submission for additional areas of damage beyond 8 sheets) -Replace underlayment of damaged areas. -Reinstall metal panels with new screws. -Install foundation and fabric over all metal laps. -Install foundation and fabric over all end closures. -Install foundation and fabric over all dormer transitions and flashing areas. -Install seal-caps over all screws. -Apply silicone based final coat. -Provide 15-year material warranty. -Provide 5-year warranty on workmanship. -Remove any debris or remaining construction material from site at completion.
