Eastern Kentucky University is soliciting Statements of Qualifications ("Qualifications") for the selection of an Architect/Engineer ("A/E") firm for design of the Burrier Classroom Building Exterior Repairs project. Prospective A/E firms are hereinafter referred to as "Respondents". The requested design program will accommodate the following but are subject to change: 1. Moisture proofing of the plaza terrace. 2. Repairs/ replacement of sections of exterior stone veneer. 3. Relocation of HVAC equipment from the plaza terrace to ground level. 4. Redesign of the exterior space between Burrier Classroom Building and Campbell Building. The buildings shall remain in operations during the construction. The A/E design shall require all existing site circulation and utilities are not interrupted during construction. Deadline for written questions from Offeror: 8/25/2022 @ 2:00PM, submitted via the Q&A Board within this electronic solicitation event The total Construction Cost Limitation is $600,000. EVALUATION OF QUALIFICATIONS: The evaluation of the Qualifications shall be based on the requirements described in this RFP. All properly submitted Qualifications will be reviewed, evaluated, and ranked by a Selection Committee appointed by Eastern Kentucky University ("Owner"), or their designee. Typically, that committee will include both future users of the facilities developed by the Project and facilities professionals. The top five (5) or fewer ranked Respondents may be selected by the Owner for further consideration by participating in an interview wherein Qualifications will be presented and examined in further detail and where questions will be posed by the Selection Committee and answered by the Respondent. Qualifications submittals should not include any information regarding Respondent's proposed fees, pricing, or other compensation considerations as these will not be a factor in the selection of the most qualified Respondent. A/E Firms shall be expected to have consultants that specialize in Site, Structural, Plumbing, Mechanical, Electrical, safety & security, communications, landscape design, and Sustainability. Potential Respondents should be aware that the Owner does not consider billable time incurred while traveling to and from the Project site, Owner's offices, or Board of Regents meetings for the Project. Potential Respondents whose offices are located where such time-consuming travel will be regularly required in the performance of services for the Project, should consider this policy when deciding whether or not to submit their Qualifications.
