LCBDD may choose to not award the Bid until thirty (30) days after the Bid opening. The work for which Bids are invited consists of the furnishing of all labor, materials, and equipment required for the removal and replacement of 208 fire doors and widening seven (7) doorways at 8121 Deepwood Blvd., Building B, Mentor, Ohio. The work must be completed by March 31, 2023. Each Bid shall contain the full name and addresses of each person or company interested in the Bid and shall be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in bond form shall be issued by a surety company or corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide such surety. LCBDD reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids, to waive informalities or irregularities in the bidding process and to enter into a contract with the Bidder whom, in its opinion, offers the lowest responsive and responsible Bid. Each Bidder must ensure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against based on race, color, creed, religion, sex, national origin, military status, disability, age, or ancestry. Prevailing Wages: The Contractor agrees that each individual employed by the Contractor or any Subcontractor and engaged in work on the project under this contract shall be paid the prevailing wage established by the Department of Industrial Relations of the State of Ohio. This shall occur regardless of any contractual relationship which may be said to exist between the Contractor and/or Subcontractor and such individual. Time is of the essence and the ARC Fire Door replacement work must be completed by March 31, 2023. Bid guaranties shall be returned to all unsuccessful Bidders immediately after a contract is executed or all Bids are rejected. The Successful Bidder's bid guaranty shall be returned upon execution of a contract and the filing of a performance bond meeting the requirements of Ohio Revised Code Section 153.54(C) for the full amount of the contract.
