Demolition and site work for a residential development in Chester Township, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the demolition of a residential development; and for site work for a residential development.

A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the CEDA, negotiable U. S. Government Bonds, or satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the estimated cost of Demolition and Site Clearance exclusive of any deductions for salvage must be submitted with each bid. All prospective bidders are required to present proof of an acceptable disposal method approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Resources or counterpart Agency in another State The area of demolition is more specifically shown on the City of Chester map included in the Specifications. The proof may consist of a copy of a State Solid Waste Disposal Permit to the prospective bidder or a Letter of Approval for the use of a proposed or existing disposal facility which has a permit or is under review for a permit. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bond or bonds. Attention is called to the fact that this project is assisted with federal funds, and various federal requirements apply as noted in the bid documents, including but not limited to equal opportunity provisions, and, if applicable, Section 3 Final Rule threshold requirements for contracts over $200,000 in HUD funds. This Project is subject to Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage requirements. Attention is called to the fact that the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status or national origin. Hearing impaired individuals may contact the Authority through the AT&T Relay Center at 1-800-654-5984. Attention of bidders is called to the requirement that the Contractor must maintain a properly staffed field crew and must perform not less than forty percent (40%) of the project work with its own organization. The CHESTER ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. Bids may be held by the CHESTER ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY for a period not to exceed forty-five (45) days from the date of the opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of the Bidders, prior to awarding the Contract. No bidder may withdraw his bid within this time period.
