The purpose of this solicitation is to establish a term contract with one or more Contractors to provide annual alarm monitoring services of existing Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) a.k.a burglar alarms on an as needed basis, to the Virginia Department of Corrections-Statewide (referred to hereinafter as the DOC or the Agency). Orders placed against any resulting contract(s) awarded as a result of this solicitation will not require the Contractor to install equipment at DOC facilities. Approximately 35 Probation & Parole main officesare operated by the DOC throughout three regions of the Commonwealth. Many of the main offices have sub-offices located within their jurisdictions. In addition to Probation and Parole Offices, DOC has several other business locations that may require alarm monitoring services. A map showing the locations of the facilities and offices can be found in Attachment F. Any resulting contract(s) will not guarantee business to any Contractor, but will provide a method to obtain goods and services on an as needed basis.
