The Johnson County Park and Recreation District (District) is requesting sealed Bid proposals from licensed, qualified, and experienced Contractors to provide on-call construction services for the District at various park and recreation facilities, developments, and other site locations as required. It is anticipated that multiple Contractors may be approved and Contracts awarded as the result of this Bid Request. It is anticipated that the Contract(s) resulting from this Bid Request shall be time and materials type Contracts that provide for payment of direct labor hours at fixed hourly rates, with materials at actual cost plus fifteen percent (actual cost + 10% overhead & 5% profit). The Contracts shall be structured as Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity type Contracts, where separate purchase orders for the required services will be issued as the need arises. Each Bidder is not required to supply a price for every Bid item identified on the Bid proposal. The resulting contracts will include an initial annual contract term, with up to 4 mutually agreed upon annual renewals. The successful bidder may be required to furnish a Performance Bond and/or Statutory Bond equal to 100% of the contract. Such bond shall be executed by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Kansas and requires the appointment of a Kansas Resident Agent. Costs of bonds, if required, shall be reimbursed at actual cost by JCPRD. The JCPRD Board of Commissioners reserves the right to award the contract(s) to the lowest and best responsive and responsible bidder(s) for the work covered by the bids, to reject any and all bids, and to waive irregularities and formalities in any bid submitted. No bid may be withdrawn within a period of sixty (60) days from the date of the bid opening.
