For Capital Improvement Project 2022 Phase 1B - Auditorium Sound and Lighting upgrades This asbestos abatement project includes, but is not limited to, the removal/disturbance of the following: Eden Middle and Senior High School – 3150 Schoolview Road, Eden, New York 1. Properly remove and dispose of lighting and supports with asbestos-containing wire insulation and mounted in asbestos-containing acoustical ceiling plaster. Perform all work in a regulated abatement work area. Coordinate work with electrical contractor. Refer to electrical demolition and new work documents for more information. Encapsulate edges of remaining plaster and prepare for patching by others. Eighteen (18) light fixtures with approximately four (4) square feet of wire insulation to be removed. 2. Properly remove and dispose of light fixtures and connector strips with asbestos-containing wire insulation. One-hundred (100) fixtures with a total of approximately twenty (20) square feet of wire insulation to be removed. 3. Remove and reinstall recessed lighting trim for new lamping. Coordinate with electrical contractor. The trim is in contact with asbestos-containing acoustical plaster. 4. Provide (2) 4" diameter holes through asbestos-containing acoustical plaster ceiling with white plastic grommets to space above for new array speaker cable supports and speaker wiring. Install anchors for new equipment where applicable. Coordinate exact locations with electrical contractor. 5. Provide (1) 2" diameter hole through asbestos-containing acoustical plaster ceiling with white plastic grommet for new wiring to ceiling hung projector. Install anchors for new equipment where applicable. Coordinate exact locations with electrical contractor.
