The project will include the following described construction: The furnishing and installing of: Approximately 260 linear feet of 12-inch HDPE water main by directional bore under stream, approximately 340 linear feet of 12-inch CL 200 PVC water main by open cut, 12-inch and 6-inch tapping sleeve and valve connections, fire hydrant assemblies, gate valves, and appurtenances including detection tape, tracer wire, backfill, tie-ins, restoration, gravel drive restoration, soil erosion control measures, traffic control, and all other appurtenances and other work as shown on the Construction Drawings or indicated in the Contract Specifications.; Approximately 1120 linear feet of 6-inch HDPE sewer force main by open cut, approximately 450 linear feet of 6-inch force main by directional drill under streams and roadways, removal of exist. gravity sewer and replacement with approximately 1180 linear feet of 10-inch SDR 26 gravity sewer in same trench, removal and replacement of existing manholes with new 4-foot dia. manholes, sewer connections, air / vacuum release manholes, and appurtenances including detection tape, tracer wire, backfill, tie-ins, restoration, gravel drive restoration, soil erosion control measures, traffic control, bypass pumping, and all other appurtenances and other work as shown on the Construction Drawings or indicated in the Contract Specifications; Approximately 2,470 linear feet of 4-inch diameter, 2708 MDPE gas main by open cut and dir. drill methods, approximately 1300 linear feet of 2-inch diameter, 2708 MDPE gas mains, by open cut and directional drill methods and appurtenances including polyvalves, detection tape, tracer wire, backfill, tie-ins, 3/4 " PE service line, service line re-connections, restoration, gravel drive restoration, soil erosion control measures, traffic control, and all other appurtenances and other work as shown on the Construction Drawings or indicated in the Contract Specifications. Subject to the provisions of Chapter 6 of Title 62 of the Tennessee Codes Annotated, the Contractor's attention is directed to the Tennessee Codes Annotated Section 62-6-119 which states that it will be necessary for each bidder and their subcontractors to show evidence of a license before his bid will be considered and that the license number, expiration date, and that part of classification applying to the bid appear on the envelope containing the bid; otherwise the bid shall not be opened. The City of Lexington reserves the right to reject any Proposal for failure to comply with all requirements of the notice or of any of the Contract Documents; however, it may waive any minor defects or informalities at its discretion. The City of Lexington further reserves the right to reject all Proposals.
