Site work for a water / sewer project in Scottsdale, Arizona. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Notice is hereby given that Maricopa County (County) is conducting this invitation for SEALED BIDS for the work described herein: Construction of a basin at Oak Street and Hawes Rd, and storm drains east along Oak Street and north along Hawes Rd. The project will provide protection in conjunction with drainage infrastructure constructed by Hermosa Vista/Hawes Rd and McDowell Rd projects. Q & A deadline: Sep 09, 2022 6:00:00 PM MDT The work shall consist of removal and disposal of objectionable material including all vegetation including shrubs, trees of all sizes (those not specifically called for salvage and relocation or to be protected in place under these special provisions) from the right-of-way, easements, detention basin, and such other areas as may be specified in the special provisions, required to perform grading operations, or shown on the construction plans. If areas can be preserved within the allowed disturbance limits, and remain undisturbed by construction activities, the Contractor is encouraged to do so and confirm these changes to the limits of disturbance with the Engineer Sixty (60) days prior to moving or destroying native plant species, the Owner shall file a formal notice of intent with the Arizona Department of Agriculture. This work also includes the removal and stockpiling of the top six (6) inches of topsoil, 3"-12" surface cobble, and dead fall materials from the basin grading limits. The topsoil, cobble, and dead fall harvesting shall include removal and stockpiling in separate stockpiles. Contractor shall stake out limits of construction and obtain Engineer approval prior to the start of native plant salvage or any other construction. Temporary protective fencing shall consist at a minimum of four (4) foot height T-bar stakes at thirty (30) feet on center with a double strand of yellow nylon rope. Temporary protective fencing shall remain in place for the duration of construction. Contractor shall completely remove temporary protective fencing at the conclusion of construction. All protective fencing shall be in place and approved by the Engineer before any earth moving equipment is moved onto the site and before any salvage, clearing, or grubbing takes place. Prior to starting clearing and grubbing the Contractor must verify the location of existing utilities that may be damaged during this work
