The Contractor for this project will comply with all federal, state and local laws and regulations, including the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act and the Illinois Preference Act. Randolph County Hospital District reserves the right to waive irregularities and reject any or all bids. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of 30 days subsequent to the opening of bids. By Order of the Board of Directors Randolph Hospital District. Bid Guarantee - All bids must be accompanied by a satisfactory bid bond executed by the Bidder and acceptable sureties, or negotiable bid guarantee in the form of a certified check or bank draft payable to "Randolph Hospital District, Dba Memorial Hospital - Chester", U.S. Government Bonds at par value in an amount equal to five (5%) of the bid. This bid guarantee shall be placed as proof that the bidder, if awarded the Contract, will furnish a satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond, execute the Contract; and proceed with the work. Upon failure to do so, the Bidder shall forfeit the deposit or amount of the Bid Bond as liquidated damages. No mistakes or errors on the part of the Bidder shall excuse the Bidder or entitle him to a return of the deposit of Bid Bond. Assurance of Completion - The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory performance and payment bond in the sum of 100% of the contract price.
