Bids may be for both sites, or one site. The bids for a specifi c site should be signed by the bidder and placed in a sealed envelope and designated on the outside of the envelope which site the bid is for. With each bid, the bidder must include proof of insurance coverage, copy of valid driver's license and references for prior mowing experience. Mowing and trimming would be from approximately April 1, 2023 to October 31, 2023. Mowing and trimming will be required on a weekly basis as weather conditions permit. Those interested in a site inspection should contact the Mayor's office from 8:00am until 4:00pm at (618) 826-5114 to set up an appointment. The City Council of Chester reserves the right to review and study any and all bids and make a contract award within thirty (30) days after the bids have been opened and publicly read. The succesfful bidder must execute a contract with the City of Chester for the mowing and trimming service within thirty (30) days after notifi cation of such award, and the City of Chester reserves the right to terminate the contract at any time. The City of Chester has the exclusive right to reject any or all bids and waive any informalities in the bid or form of bid. The successful bidder must furnish his/her own fuel and equipment and provide a certifi cate of insurance in the amount of $1,000,000.00 naming the City of Chester as additional insured.
