Newport Township is requesting proposals for the collection and disposal of municipal refuse and yard waste. Vendors must meet all municipal, state and federal regulations associated with municipal waste removal at the time of the bid and continuously during the term of the contract. Questions concerning the bid package should be directed to the Township Manager, Joseph Hillan, at 570-735-4735. All proposals must be accompanied by a bid bond in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total value of the contract, including option years. The bid bond shall be made payable to Newport Township and shall be provided by a bonding company licensed to operate in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Bid bonds must set forth a specific dollar amount and be signed by a Pennsylvania licensed registered agent. Newport Township reserves the right to waive any informality associated with this proposal. By submitting a proposal, the potential Bidder acknowledges that decisions concerning this proposal will be made in and for the best interests of Newport Township
