Sealed bids are invited for the construction of AS SCHLESINGER HOT WATER BOILER AND PUMP REPLACEMENT PROJECT, 260-B1260-001 at Northern Virginia Community College, Alexandria Campus. The project is generally described as the replacement of heating hot water boilers and pump, in an occupied building. Procedures for submitting a bid, claiming an error, withdrawal of bids and other pertinent information are contained in the Instructions to Bidders, which is part of the Invitation for Bids. Withdrawal due to error in bid shall be permitted in accord with Section 9 of the Instructions to Bidders and 2.2-4330, Code of Virginia. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Contractor registration is required in accordance with Section 54.1-1103 of the Code of Virginia. See the Invitation for Bids for additional qualification requirements. All executive branch agencies are directed to advance Executive Order 35, dated July 3, 2019. New Replacement Building Heating Hot Water Boilers, Associated Primary Circulation & Secondary Distribution Pumps, With an Added New Standby Unit, and Air Separator Will Be Provided in the Basement Mer. Boiler Exhaust Flue and Hot Water Distribution Piping Within the Mer Will Be Demolished and Replaced to the Extent Required to Remove and Replace and Reconnect the Noted Equipment With the Indicated Piping Configuration. Supporting Gas Piping, Electrical and Control Wiring Shall Be Modified to the Extent Required to Connect to and Support The New Equipment.
