For Water Treatment Chemicals The contract period will be from october 1, 2022 to september 30, 2023. All chemicals must meet awwa standard listed and/or nsf/ansi standard 60: drinking water treatment chemicals, including those for the hamby waste water treatment plant. Items 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 9, 10, 12, & 14 are to be calculated and bid in liquid pound - unit price. Bids not submitted in dry ton unit price will be rejected. Items 1 & 12 may require weekend deliveries during periods of peak demand. There are two separate contracts for bleach, item 11 will be mini-bulk for deliveries to the hargesheimer water treatment plant and item 13 will be bulk-truckload for deliveries to the hamby wastewater treatment plant. Item 12 - sodium hydroxide (caustic soda) is specd as 25% solution not 50%. Item 15 - sodium permangante provide empty barrel return policy and procedure. All bulk liquid chemical deliveries must include a certified weight ticket and A bill of lading. The city of abilene's po number should be on the bill of lading. Water treatment chemicals to be purchased as needed and awarded on a per unit price basis. The city of abilene reserves the right to award bid items separately to different vendors if advantageous to the city of abilene. All quantities are approximate. All chemicals must meet awwa and city of abilene specifications. This contract will be for a one (1) year period. The city of abilene reserves the option to extend the contract for an additional one (1) year period. The city of abilene will award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder. The city reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
