Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Homewood, Alabama. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
The project scope includes approximately 650 LF of sidewalk to be constructed along the east shoulder of Mecca Avenue between Highland Road and Edgeview/Oxmoor Alley. Construction of the sidewalk will require the removal of pavement and curb and gutter, along with the installation of curb and gutter, one drainage structure, curb ramps, driveway improvements, and a retaining wall. Erosion control and traffic control will also be included in the project scope. The OWNER reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. Each BIDDER must deposit with his/her BID security in the amount, form, and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. The successful BIDDER will be required to submit 100% Performance and Payment Bonds. All BIDDERS must comply with the requirements of the Contractor's Licensing Law of the State of Alabama and be certified for the type of work for which a proposal is submitted. The submission of the BIDDER's current State of Alabama License number will be required before his/her BID will be received or considered and shall be written on the outside of the envelope in which BID is submitted. No BIDDER may withdraw his/her BID within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
