The Board of Trustees of the Washington-Centerville Public Library intends to enter into a Design-Build Contract with a Design Build Firm to provide Design Build Engineering Services to upgrade the HVAC system at the Centerville Library and add a second boiler at the Woodbourne Library. The preliminary project description includes the installation of two new boilers and upgrading the current pneumatic controls with an open protocol system at the Centerville Library, and installing a second boiler for redundancy at the Woodbourne Library. Copies of the current system schematics are available from the Library Director. The project budget is estimated to be approximately $550,000. Design, consulting and permit fees are included as part of this budget. The source of funding is from the capital projects budget of the Washington-Centerville Public Library. The anticipated date for commencing design is October 3, 2022. Statements of qualification should include information regarding the firm's history; education and experience of owners and key personnel; the technical and design expertise of the firm's staff for this type of project; previous library and/or large-scale projects completed by the firm; availability of staff; and client references.As required by Ohio Revised Code 153.65-153.71, Statements of Qualification will be evaluated and ranked on the basis of qualifications. The Library will enter into contract negotiations with the firm ranked most qualified. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
