Remodeling and renovation of a military facility in Newport News, Virginia. Completed plans call for the remodel of a military facility.

Description of the Work: This project shall replace various medium voltage 11.5KV circuits feeding essential buildings within the Norfolk Naval Shipyard. This project will replace approximately 40,000 LF of primary conductors, construct new substation foundations, demolish three existing substations, install five (5) new electrical manholes, and install 12 new electrical ductbanks totaling nearly 1200LF. Once complete, the substation in the scope of work will have parallel primary feeders, for increased reliability and redundancy. This project will feed existing SF-6 gas switch from isolated distribution stations, further increasing reliability.
