The DVBE Incentive and Small Business Preferences also apply CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITIES A. Contractor shall prepare, and paint tanks, piping, and appurtenances in accordance with provided drawings and specifications, to include: 1. Contractor shall blast clean the exterior of the tanks and piping and apply a prime coat, intermediate coat, and finish coat in accordance with the job specification sheet titled, "Miscellaneous Tank Recoating." 2. Prep and paint all exterior metal surfaces including tanks, piping, supports for: a. 34' Long X 8' Diameter Roughing Filters, total of six (6) tanks b. Pressure Reducing Valve assembly, approximately 15' long c. Above ground piping d. Head control tank, 10' diameter x 24' high, guardrail, ladder, piping, and supports e. Finished water tank, 74' diameter x 32' high including exterior walls, roof, ladders, handrail, hatches, piping and support B. Contractor shall protect in place level indicators and other appurtenances. Contractor shall acknowledge that tanks, control valves, pressure reducing valves and piping will remain in operation during work C. Contractor shall seal and mitigate all openings as required to prevent dust and overspray from entering tanks and other equipment in the work vicinity. D. Contractor shall follow submittal requirements regarding preparation and painting methods, including specifications on proposed materials in accordance with the Miscellaneous Tank Recoating instructions. These submittals must be approved by the contract manager prior to work commencing. E. Contractor shall warrant all work and material in accordance with the specifications listed in the Miscellaneous Tank Recoating Instructions
