Renovation of a power facility in Sunnyside, Washington. Completed plans call for the renovation of a power facility.
QUESTIONS DUE BY DECEMBER 28, 2022 - All questions must be made in writing sent via email to Jay Taylor at jdtaylor@energy-northwet.com . The Site location is 76 North Power Plant Loop, Richland, WA 99354, a nuclear power generating facility. The Work shall be performed inside the Protected Area of Columbia. Work will be performed in a Radiological Controlled Area (RCA). Access to the roof shall be through the RCA Turbine upper roof description: 1. Roof is approximately 45,000 square feet. 2. Roof structure consists of a steel Quick Lock (Q) decking. Existing roofing material consists of ballast blocks on adhered EPDM liner on top of Oriented Strand Board, Isocyanate rigid insulation, vapor barrier and secured with fasteners and batten bars. 4. Typical roof drains used on the roof of the turbine building are ZURN Z-100 ERC with extensions. The diameter of the roof drain is 6". 5. Upper turbine building is 570' above grade, 135' from the ground. 6. Roof structure consists of steel Q decking. The installed new roofing system shall meet or exceed Factory Mutual Class I Fire rating with an I-90 Windstorm rating using Factory Mutual approved components. Work shall include but is not limited to the following: 1. Remove existing concrete pavers. 2. Remove and dispose of the current roofing system, including rigid insulation as required and all associated components. Strip the existing roof system down to the solid roof base. 3. Properly dispose of all materials in dumpsters provided by Energy Northwest. Energy Northwest will provide waste disposal skips on the roof. 4. Roof damage: Energy Northwest does not expect any roof damage based on recent inspections. If there is roof damage, Contractor shall identify and communicate the roof damage to the Technical Representative or designee for review and determination prior to applying the roof. The additional Work may result in an Amendment to the Contract. 5. Clean and prepare roof for the application of the new approved roofing system. 6. Supply and install the new roofing system. The installed new roofing system shall meet or exceed Factory Mutual Class I Fire rating with an I90 Windstorm rating using factory mutual approved components.
