Notice to Bidders: Qualified bidders may submit bids for project as described in this Document. Submit bids according to the Instructions to Bidders. Florence School District, CTE Classroom and Lab Project Description: Project consists of a new single story, pre-engineered metal building (PEMB), associated site improvements, connection of select infrastructure to the existing salvage, salvage of select items in existing building, and select utility and finishing Work inside of existing building. Construction Contract: Bids will be received for the following Work: 1. Multiple Contract Project consisting of the following prime contracts: a. General Building Construction. (All trades with the exception as identified below) b. Earthwork 1) Work under this contract is subject to Davis Bacon wage rates as included in the Project Manual to be applied to grant awarded to the Owner. 1.3 BID SECURITY A. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier s check or draft in the amount of at least 5 percent of the bid total, payable to Owner, or a bid bond, in the amount of not less than 10 percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. 1.4 PREBID MEETING A. Prebid Meeting: No prebid meeting is scheduled. 1.6 TIME OF COMPLETION AND LIQUIDATED DAMAGES A. Successful bidder shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work within the Contract Time. B. Work is subject to liquidated damages as further outlined in the Project Manual 1.7 BIDDER'S QUALIFICATIONS A. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work.
