The undersigned hereby proposed to furnish to the Board of Water Works Trustees of the City of Des Moines the estimated total of 450,360 pounds of solar salt crystals will be delivered in bulk by pneumatic semi-trailer for the year 2023. The coarse solar salt will be used in the nitrate removal process of the municipal water supply. The coarse solar salt will be pneumatically pumped into a below ground salt brine bunker. Suppliers shall provide their quote FOB point of destination. Specifications on chemical properties, and transport requirements stated below take precedence over corresponding specifications listed in AWWA B200"AWWA STANDARD FOR SODIUM CHLORIDE" or the latest revision there of will be adhered. DMWW reserves the right to conduct any test/inspection it may deem advisable to assure goods and services conform to the specifications. The Des Moines Water Works reserves the right to reject any or all quotations, to waive informalities in any quotation and to accept the quotation which it determines to be in the best interest of the Des Moines Water Works.
