Wastewater Manhole Ring Sealing - Cudjoe and Big Coppitt Keys The work covered by this item includes but is not limited to furnishing all labor, equipment, materials and supervision, and performing all work necessary to seal the manholes as specified herein. The work under this item includes the installation of Sealing Systems Inc. Flex-Seal 2.0 Utility Sealant internal manhole adjustment ring sealing system and accessories, IET Systems Polymorphic Resin or Quadex Chimney Guard to the manhole through the frame joint area and the area above the manhole cone, including all extensions to the chimney area. Alternate products may be accepted with prior approval; however, a 10-year written performance warranty is mandatory. Approximately 1,000 manholes will need to be sealed: 215 at ~30" and 785 at 24". All work shall be completed on or prior to December 30, 2022. The work shall be performed in manholes located in the Cudjoe and Big Coppitt collection systems, as directed by the Florida Keys Aqueduct Authority (FKAA). The manhole sealing work will require a flexible sealant to be applied to the HDPE adjustment rings of selected manholes and shall bridge from the frame of the cover to the concrete (HDPE lined in most areas) structure, totally encapsulating and sealing off the HDPE adjustment rings or, the rings shall be removed, and the void filled with polymorphic resin and top-coated. The work shall progress continually until complete.
