Demolition, site work and addition to a water / sewer project in Pearland, Texas. Completed plans call for the addition of a water / sewer project; for the demolition of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
As of December 2024, this project began construction in July of 2024. The project involves replacing the existing 3.1 MGD treatment plant with a new 5.0 MGD WRF. The 5.0 MGD would be designed for a future expansion to the ultimate buildout at an estimated 6.5 MGD. The primary treatment technology for the new plant will be a continuous-flow sequencing batch reactor (SBR). The existing plant will remain online until the new plant is commissioned, and the current will be decommissioned. A parallel project also includes decommissioning the 2.5 MGD Longwood WRF, constructing a regional lift station at the Longwood site, and approximately four miles of force main to the new BRWRF. Much of the force main route would parallel Clear Creek and run through unpaved areas. A preliminary engineering report was performed for BRWRF in 2018, and preliminary design began but has since halted. Additional existing project information will be provided only to those firms shortlisted for interview
